Hundreds of Shooting Stars
I had a wonderful first date with my current boyfriend. Living in Portland, Oregon we drove to the coast last August in the late afternoon to watch the meteor shower. Upon arrival we visited the acrcades before walking along the boardwalk with his dog. On the beach we ran around in the cool sand after having driven in 80+ degree weather. While the sun was setting we took photographs in every which direction.
For dinner we went to a small restaurant to sit in the corner by ourselves before heading out to a smaller beach for more privacy. Once we found the perfect spot on the beach we laid out blankets to lie on while having the car play Dave Mathews Band to catch the meteor shower. We laid under the clear sky, watching the spectacular show for a few hours while he held me in his arms with his dog at our feet.
We didn't leave until 5am. |
