Notifications
I was notified that I have a new message but none are there.
The reason for a missing message or gift is because the person who sent you the message is no longer a member. They have either cancelled their account or they were deleted because of terms violations between the time that the notification was sent and the time that you checked your message center. When an account is cancelled all records including sent messages are deleted.
I get an error when I click on a link in the email you send.
This can be caused by two things, both related to your mail reader.
If your nickname has a space it may be causing a break in the urls that are sent in the email or your email reader is forcing some of the url to a second line. You may notice that some of the url is clickable (blue) and some just plain text.
In either case you can copy and paste the whole url (from "http" to the end of your password) into your browser's address bar and then submit. If your email reader forces some of the url to another line ensure that you copy and paste that part too.
You can also login as normal via the login page and perform your particular search, etc.
I am not receiving notifications though Settings are correct. Why not?If the email address we have on file and settings in 'Your Settings' are correct then the problem resides with your email program or service.
If you have anti-spam software installed please enable it to accept email from
megafriends.com AND www.megafriends.com
If you are using an email service check your Bulk/Junk Mail folder, it can be directed there instead of your Inbox.
To ensure your password and messages from Megafriends are not sent to your Bulk/Junk email folder, you must add them to your Email Safe List:
Hotmail:
1. Login to your Hotmail account.
2. Go to the Options page.
3. On the left side of the page, click Mail, and then click Junk E-Mail Protection.
4. Click Safe List.
5. Type megafriends.com and www.megafriends.com in the field and then click Add.
6. Click OK.
Yahoo Mail:
1. Login to your Yahoo Mail account
2. Click 'Mail Options' on the right.
3. Then under 'Spam' click 'Filters' click 'Add'. There you can enter 'megafriends.com' for' From Header contains' and choose 'Move the message to: Inbox'
Do the same as above for www.megafriends.com
AOL Mail:
Add the following email addresses to your AOL address book, or go to the Spam Folder and click on "This is not Spam" for the Megafriends notifications.
The addresses to add are:
support@megafriends.com
no-reply@megafriends.com
no-reply@www.megafriends.com |
