Logging In
I can't log in. Why not?
This can be caused by several reasons:
1. Usernames and passwords are case sensitive and must be entered EXACTLY as given. This means that an "M" is different than an "m".
2. Sometimes an "el" may be mistaken as the number one, or visa versa.
3. Sometimes an uppercase "eye" may be mistaken as a lowercase "el", or visa versa.
4. Sometimes an "oh" may be mistaken as a zero, or visa versa.
5. Somes times a "que" is mistaken for a "gee", or visa versa.
6. Sometimes a space is inadvertantly entered at the end of either the username or password or both.
7. Ensure that you are accessing from proper url.
8. Sometimes your browser's cache will retain a past incorrect attempt. You may have to reload your browser, close and reopen your browser or reboot your computer.
I tried the above but still can't log in. Why not?
Other reasons why you can't log in may be that your account has expired, you cancelled it or it has been terminated. If you feel that none of these reasons apply. Contact us using the Contact Us link on the menu at the bottom of any page, giving us as much information as possible about your account, and we'll look into it.
I forgot my password. What can I do?
Click on the following link and then scroll down the page to the "Forgot your password?" section near the bottom. Then enter the email address that you joined with and then click 'Submit'. We will then automatically, and immediately send you your password to this address. Click here
I didn't receive my password yet. What should I do?
Passwords are sent automatically when you join. There are several reasons why you might not have received it ranging from an incorrect address entered to network problems. You can follow the above instructions or contact us regarding and we'll send it to you again.
Also, if you are using a free email service check your Junk Mail folder. Perhaps it was directed there instead of your Inbox.
Hotmail:
To ensure messages from specific e-mail addresses are not sent to your Junk email folder, you can add them to your Safe List.
1. Go to the Options page.
2. On the left side of the page, click Mail, and then click Junk E-Mail Protection.
3. Click Safe List.
4. Type megafriends.com in the field and then click Add.
5. Click OK.
Yahoo:
1. Click 'Mail Options' on the right.
2. Then under 'Spam' click 'Filters'.
3. Then click 'Add'. There you can enter 'megafriends.com' for' From Header contains' and choose 'Move the message to: Inbox'
AOL:
Just add the address to your AOL address book, or go to the Spam Folder and click on "This is not Spam" for the Megafriends notifications.
I don't want my password remembered when I log in. How do I do this?
Ensure that the 'Remember password' checkbox is UNchecked when you log in.
I Unchecked the checkbox but my login info still shows. Why?
Check your browser settings:
With Internet Explorer, click Tools/Internet Options/Content tab.
Then in the Personal Information section click the AutoComplete button.
There you can select what Internet Explorer will remember and clear the history - ensure that Forms is unchecked. |
