My Best Date
I'd have to say when I met the man I'm married to now online.
Well to start with he was living in Alabama and I was living in Virginia. After awhile of talking online,a couple of very large phone bills on both of our cells and landline phones we decided we needed to meet . We felt it was getting kind of costly the phone bills. So believe it or not he would leave every Friday when he would get off from work at midnight and would drive up to Fredericksburg,Virginia just to see me. He would always arrive around 7 or 8 in the morning. And always would have me a little something. He would lay down for a couple of hours and then get up and spend the rest of the day and part of Sunday with the grandson and I until he would have to leave around 3 p.m. to be able to get back in time to get some sleep to be able to report back to work for Monday.
Even though he always was trying to impress me with one thing or another. Or doing this or that. The best date with him was everytime he drove to see us on the weekend. Just the spending time togeather. And him driving that distance alone told me how much he cared.
It may not sound like a date but to us just being togeather for that short time meant more to us then everthing we gave to one another or went out and did togeather durig the short times he was there visiting. |
