Hello! Just a short update to let you know some of the latest changes here at Megafriends:
NEW HOMEPAGE VERSION:

We've just added another version of your Account Homepage which has fewer images for increased load speed. Long time members may remember this as the original default view. Now you have your choice which version to show as your default, the 'graphic' version or the 'text' version.
To change views:
On the 'graphic' version click the 'View Text Version' on the right-hand menu.
On the 'text' version click the 'View graphic version of this page' on the bottom of the page.
BIO INFO REMOVED:

We recently removed the 'The member I am looking for..." section from profiles. This section was auto-generated from a member's search criteria but because of the process it often showed incorrect info so unfortunately it has been removed.
INCREASED SCAM ACTIVITY REVISITED:

Since our last newsletter members have been waging a war on scams and we thank you! The 'Report Profile' feature is certainly giving us the heads ups on a lot of scam profiles. Keep up the great work!
As a reminder - Each year the Scam activity rises, especially at this time of year. Please be vigilant! This is big business and Scam Artists are very adept at their trade. Here are a few tips:
1. Ask specific questions and expect specific answers. Scammers often use prepared responses.
2. Never give out your email address! In addition to being against our Terms it also opens you up to receive spam and junk mail. The unfortunate reality is that there are people out there that trawl for email addresses for this purpose.
3. Never send money! If a member asks for money, in any amount, this is a clear indication that it is a scam. Please forward us the nickname of this member immediately.
If you have reason to believe a member is 'not up to par' please let us know. You can easily report a member via the 'Report Profile' link on the right-hand menu of their profile. Remember, be vigilant!
A BIT OF HUMOR

Two weasels are sitting in a bar. One starts to insult the other one. He screams, "I slept with your mother!" The bar gets quiet as everyone listens to see what the other weasel will do. The first again yells, "I SLEPT WITH YOUR MOTHER!" The other weasel says, "Go home dad, you're drunk."
