a second chance
| how many have ever been given a second chance on anything that a decision was haunting them on. i knew of one long ago where a person was kicking himself in the rear that he could have been assigned to guard the commander in chief of the forces of europe when he at first declined the offer. the person who was given the position on the night before he was supposed to go over to the new position he got into a fight and was removed from the position and again he was offered the position. i reminded him that someone was trying to tell him something that usually one is not given another chance and he took the job and never looked back. the path would eventually lead him to his future wife which he married much later. its kinda amazing of what could have happened if he wasnt given the second chance maybe he would have still met her but who knows. its usually a one time decision and thats it no more chances to change ones mind. but when another chance comes up either later on or much sooner it could be a sign someone or something is trying to tell you something that this is a direction you are to go. to ignore it is at your peril. but when life gives a person a second chance dont squander it. make the most of it and see where it will take you since life itself usually doesnt give one a second chance to correct a past mistake. |
