Dreams and Goals
Several years ago while I was in germany. I was at the bahnhauf or train station for those of you who didnt know. I saw two young men walking into the train station dressed anything but normal carrying a backpack. when they sat down they went into a back pack and pulled out a beer and started drinking it. When they were done the beer was finished and they boarded the train going to some unknown destination. I thought of how free they must have felt to go whereever they wanted to. Some goals from seeing this came to mind and later on when I left germany to go to college.
I thought of two goals that I hoped to accomplish to make that dream come true. One was to complete my masters degree and two was to ride the trains in europe
with only the clothes on my back with a backpack full of beer. So far I have accomplished one of those goals with the other one im still dreaming about doing. If I go back to europe someday while active military I plan on taking maybe a months leave and doing exactly that. Since I would have paid off some bills ensuring that there would be no nasty surprises coming up. And hopefully ride the trains with a female companion to keep me company on the way. |
