What should happen only in the movies
| I know some have seen movies where the bad guy has a person dead to rights and all they have to do is pull the trigger of a firearm and its over. But, instead something else happens the weapon does not fire and the bad guy is thrashed after that misfortunate mishap. An event similar to that occured to me when I was with the national guard doing field exercises at West Point. I was a team leader in a vehicle going up the road until a person appeared in the middle of the road he charged at the vehicle as I got out. He killed my driver with a knife but, shot him before he could do anymore damage. than I saw one of the fastest moving people of the opposition force. This guy was incredibly fast. I watched him move around looking to grab weapons to use. so I shadowed him. When he popped up to grab a weapon that is when I had him dead to rights. I said "So long *******" that is when the weapon went click. I tried to clear the jam as he flew down the hill to the other side and every damn time I thought I cleared the jam. it would not chamber a round for me to shoot him until he was far out of sight. For about two years some people ragged on me for my saying and the click that came after it. |
