Happy New Year! Welcome to the first newsletter of 2006! We wish you all the best in the coming year!
Just a short update to let you know some of the latest changes here at Megafriends:
MORE CHANGES TO LIVE CHAT!

You can now view all of the available chatrooms on the left-hand side of the Chat window, just above the User List. This list will automatically refresh to show you the latest rooms and how many members are in each of them.
You can easily 'jump' from room to room simply by clicking on the room name.
You can also create a new room easier by clicking the 'create room' link near the top of the list. This will open, or bring to the forefront, the chat listing page with the 'Create A Room' link.
CREATE YOUR OWN CHATROOM REVISITED!

Create and moderate your own chatroom! You can choose the name, set the theme, choose to allow all members to enter or password protect it to only allow those with the password to enter. You can also moderate your chatroom with the 'kick' (k) feature. Your chatroom will remain 'live' as long as someone is in it and will disappear within an hour of being empty. To create your own chatroom click the 'Live Chat' link on the left-hand menu and then click 'Create Your Own Chatroom' link above the chatroom list. (Note - Only Gold members can create a chatroom.)
LOCATION MAP ON PROFILE!

To get a mapped view of a member's location simply click on the 'world' icon located in the 'Location' section of their profile. This will open the map below the member's photo.
BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN!

Bookmarks now show how many days until (or since) the member's birthday.
SCAM WARNING!
=============
It's that time of year again where we see an increase in the amount of scam attempts. Please be very vigilant! The most common issue is a money request. Our experience has shown that ANY money request, regardless of reason or amount is a scam. The best course of action is to contact us immediately with the member's nickname and any relevant information. If the request is made via the Message Center simply clicking the 'Spam/Scam' link below the message will forward us the information. Once again, please be vigilant.

They were sitting at the breakfast table one morning when the old gentleman said to his wife, "Just think, honey, we've been married for 50 years." "Yeah," she replied, "Just think, fifty years ago we were sitting here at this breakfast table together." "I know," the old man said, "We were probably sitting here naked as jaybirds fifty years ago. "Well," Granny snickered, "What do you say...should we get naked?" Whereupon the two stripped to the buff and sat down at the table. "You know, honey," the little old lady breathlessly replied, "My nipples are as hot for you today as they were fifty years ago." "I wouldn't be surprised," replied her husband. "One's in your coffee and the other is in your oatmeal!
