Just a short note (actually it's rather long...) to let you know some of the latest changes here at Megafriends:
CREATE YOUR OWN POLLS!

A couple of weeks ago we added the Megafriends Poll Center where you could vote on a variety of subjects. Now we have added the ability for you to create your own poll! Simply click the Poll Center link on the left-hand menu and then click the 'Create Poll' link, enter your question and answers and submit. Once reviewed and approved it will show in the Poll Center listings. Your poll will include links back to your profile so this is a great way to increase your exposure!
POLLS NOW SHOW RESULTS FOR MEN AND WOMEN!

And speaking of the Polls... now the poll results show the stats separated for both men and women. (What were we thinking when we first aded polls, that men and women's opinions would be the same?!) :)
SEARCH RESULTS UPDATED!

You'll notice that the Search results has changed a bit. Each member's listing now includes a bit of their bio as well as direct links to send a message, a gift and bookmark.
WHO'S BIRTHDAY NOW SHOWS LOCATION!

The Who's Birthday list now shows the member's location. Check it out and while you are there, wish someone a big Happy Birthday! This link is found on your Account Homepage.
GIVE THE GIFT OF GOLD!

With Christmas just around the corner now is the time to give the gift of Gold! Click on the "Upgrade A Friend" link on the right-hand menu to upgrade a friend. Surprise someone today!

And speaking of Christmas :), don't forget the Virtual Gift Shop has over 70 giftcards available for sending. Click the 'Gift Shop' link on the left-hand menu and then choose the Christmas category.
BTW - The "Your gift was sent to "nickname"" notice after you send a gift is now linked directly back to the member's profile. This will make it easy to return. Sorry for the oversight. :)
HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS!

Just a reminder that member's asking for money for any reason; plane fare, chat cafe time, internet conection, etc. is usually a good indication of a scam. We do not tolerate such actions. Although we take every effort to eradicate such members please beware that some get through. Please do not send them money. Instead, send us a spam report or at least their nickname.
ZIP/POSTAL CODE REMINDER... AGAIN!

Once again, a reminder that we added a new Zip/Postal Code field to both the join and edit pages. This will allow us to offer 'profile mapping' in the future, where we will be able to show only people within X miles from you!
Presently we have less than 2% of the members with their zipcode entered. We really would like to get this going but still need a lot more members to enter this information in their profile. Please take a moment and add your Zipcode today!
The Zip/Postal field is for internal use only and will not show anywhere in your profile.
A BIT OF HUMOR

As the crowded elevator descended, John's girlfriend became increasingly furious with him, who was delighted to be pressed against a gorgeous young lady.
As the elevator stopped at the main floor, the young lady suddenly whirled, slapped John, and said, "That will teach you to pinch!"
Bewildered, John was halfway to the parking lot with his girlfriend when he choked, "I... I... didn't pinch that girl."
