Greetings friends from around the world! We hope that all is well with you and yours.
We have been very busy lately working behind the scenes but thought we would pop our heads up for a moment to bring you the latest on what's happening here at Megafriends.
LATEST UPDATES:
- Your Message Center has been updated. In addition to using a standard email program look and feel you can now delete your messages directly from the front-end. Also, when you reply to someone their message is automatically included in your reply. FREE MEMBERS ARE NOW ABLE TO READ A LIMITED EMAIL PER DAY.
- We have added a link at the bottom of your homepage that will easily make your Megafriends Homepage your browser's Start page! Once added you will be conveniently logged in evertime your open your browser or press the Home button on your browser's menu bar!
- We recently updated the look of your Homepage and hopefully made it a little bit more user-friendly. The most noticable difference is that you can now view the number of messages you have in your message center without actually having to go in.
- We reached a milestone of 50,000 members near the end of last month! This was a goal we had for some time and didn't expect to reach it so soon but of course we are glad we did! Now on to the next 50,000! We would like to take this time to once again welcome and thank each and every one of you. It looks like 60,000 members is right around the corner!
- Also last month we added another server to handle our database queries. This has greatly increased the speed on your searches.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
The most common question that we are asked is "How do I get more people to view my profile?". We alway reply, "Ensure you have done the basics!". These basics are:
Add A Photo - When someone does a search, profiles with photos show before profiles that do not have a photo. Also, a lot of members only search for profiles that contain a photo. And members are more likely to respond to a profile that has a photo.
Fill Out Your Profile - A profile that is 100% filled out will show before a profile that is 50% filled out. Also, when your profile is filled out it offers more search criteria so that other members can find you.
Start A Photo Album - This is a popular area and with direct links to your profile page it's a great way to gain added exposure.
Visit Often: Profiles of members who have recently visited will show before members that haven't dropped by in a while.
Upgrade To Gold - In addition to all the other benefits, Gold member's profiles show before Free Members. Plus, since all members can read any reply to all your messages, by contacting more members more members will likely view your profile!
