Your Message Center
Your Message Center is one of the most often used sections here at Megafriends. This is where you can exchange messages with other members. You can read your messages, reply to messages, send new messages and organize your messages.
To access your Message Center you can click on either the 'Message Center - Click here to view' link on your Account Homepage or the 'Messages' link on the top menu.
Once in your Message Center you can view a message by clicking the 'Click here to read message' link. You can also view the sender's profile by clicking their nickname.
Creating Folders
To create a Folder simply type the Folder name in the field to the right of 'Your Message Folders' list near the top of your Message Center and click the 'Create' button.
Once a Folder is created you can easily access it by clicking its name in the 'Your Message Folders' list.
Deleting Folders
To delete a Folder simply click the 'Del' link next to the Folder name in the 'Your Message Folders' list near the top of your Message Center. You cannot delete either the Inbox or Sent Messages Folders, nor can you delete a Folder while in that particular Folder.
Selecting Messages
You can select or deselect all the messages in a particular Folder by clicking the checkbox in the menu bar of a Folder list. You can also select or deselect individual messages by clicking their individual checkboxes.
Moving or Deleting Messages
To move a message or messages select them and then choose the Folder you wish to move them to from the drop-down list at the bottom of the page (Move marked messages to) and click the 'Move' button.
To delete a message or messages select them and then click the 'Delete Marked Messages' button at the bottom of the page to delete.
Sent Messages
Gold members have the added feature of being able to view their Sent Messages in a Sent Messages Folder. This Folder will show whether your messages have been read or deleted by the recipient.
If a sent message does not immediately show in your Sent Messages then the recipient has you on Ignore.
If a sent message does show in your Sent Messages and has been read it will state this status.
If a sent message does show in your Sent Messages and later disappears then the recipient has removed it.
The Message Icons
On the left of the Message List you will see a variety of Message Icons that look like envelopes. Depending on the status of the Message a different icon will be displayed:
 = You have a New Message
 = You have read this message
 = You have replied to this Message
Message Limits
Gold members can have a maximum of 100 messages in all Folders and an unlimited amount of messages that are no older than 7 days. Free members can have a maximum of 50 messages in all Folders.
Send Messages Directly From Your Message Center
When you know a member's nickname you can send a message directly from your Message Center! Simply enter the member's nick in the field provided near the top of your Message Center and click submit. This will open the Message Form for you to enter your message (You can also use the 'Send Me A Message' link on the member's profile to send a message).
